"You can be a big fish in a small pond." Jacklyn Dowda '09
Standing out in the crowd is easy to do at Reinhardt, according to Jacklyn Dowda.
"You can be a big fish in a small pond," she says. "At Reinhardt, it is easy to get your voice heard."
Dowda, a senior communication arts major, values the opportunities available to her.
"Since my freshman year, I have grown as a person," she explains. "You have so many chances here to explore your interests and hobbies, and I have taken advantage of it all."
As a musician and performer, Dowda often participates in the College's open-mike nights, talent shows, and any performances where she can share her love of music. She has even recorded her music in the recording studio at the College's Falany Performing Arts Center.
"The people at Reinhardt -- friends, professors, staff -- are very supportive in all of my endeavors," she says. "When you come here, you feel like you are part of a family, and that's what I love most about the College. "
